The Down and Out Mount is made to easily move Plasma and LCD Flat Panel Televisions up and down whenever you need it to. It works with most Flat Panel Televisions 32in and larger. The fireplace is the natural focal point of any room, which makes mounting a flat panel above the fireplace an ideal location. Unfortunately, above the fireplace isn't the most ergonomic position for Television viewing. With the Down and Out Mount the LCD or plasma flat panel can be stored above the fireplace. When needed the mount can be pulled down easily for a more comfortable viewing experience.Another common feature of fireplaces is the mantel, for any other mount that goes directly up and down, the Television can not get past the mantel. The Down and Out mount solves this issue by having a circular motion instead of a linear motion. The circular motion allows the flat panel to move around the mantel so that a comfortable viewing position can be reached.An adjustable counterbalance makes moving flat panel LCD/Plasmas up to 110 pounds easy. By adjusting the counterbalance to different forces the TV can be set to stop at different points in its travel. The Down and Out Mount automatically locks and unlocks in the up position ensuring secure and safe actuation. To unlock from the up position you simply pull out on the bottom of the mount. Integrated wire routing allows wires to be passed through the bracket so that they are hidden from view in all positions.
