Overview

Cable Matters HDMI Extender over Single Ethernet Cable extends HDMI over a CAT6 cable and supports HDMI 1.3 features such as Deep Color, 1080p Full HD and compressed lossless 7.1 audio. DVI-D Computer video can also be extended when using an optional DVI-to-HDMI cable. Built-in IR extender function allows IR remote control (NOT included) to send IR commands from remote viewing location back to the Source devices over the same Cat6 cable.

How it works

HDMI Extender system consists of a sender and a receiver unit. An HDMI source such as a set-top box, DVD player, or gaming console connects to the Sender unit over HDMI cable. The Receiver unit connects to the extended HDTV display. Only one Cat6 or CAT6a cable hook up the the Sender unit to the Receiver unit and transmit video/audio signal, up to 330 feet apart. Power is applied to both the Sender and the Receiver units with the included 5V DC power adapters.
